What is TattooMate?
TattooMate is a web-based solution for digital consent forms, health information and signatures in tattoo and piercing studios.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. TattooMate is fully web-based and optimized for touch devices – no app required.
Is there a limit on the number of artists?
No. TattooMate is licensed per studio. You can add as many artists as you want without affecting the price.
Is the event or convention mode an extra?
No. Event and convention mode are always included and can be enabled when needed.
Can I separate studio and convention workflows?
Yes. The event/convention mode provides separate capture and a dedicated overview.
How does the U18 workflow actually work?
If a customer is below the minimum age, parent data, signatures and required uploads become mandatory. Nothing can be submitted until all required fields are completed.
Can I generate PDFs again later?
Yes. Studios can generate, print or save PDFs again at any time from the admin area.
Who has access to customer data?
Only authorized studio users. TattooMate uses roles and permissions so not everyone can see or edit everything.
Is TattooMate legally compliant?
TattooMate supports proper documentation of consents, signatures and health data. It does not replace legal advice, but ensures traceable and reproducible studio workflows.
Is TattooMate GDPR compliant?
Yes. No IDs or PDFs are sent via email. Documents are generated in the admin area and remain under your control.
Is there a newsletter or opt-in feature?
Yes, optionally. Only if the customer actively agrees. Unsubscribing is possible at any time and consent details are documented.
Is the newsletter system GDPR compliant?
Yes. Customers choose during the consent process whether they want to receive newsletters. An unsubscribe link is internally managed and must be included.
Can I host TattooMate myself?
Yes. You can run TattooMate on your own server or use hosting provided by TattooMate. Both options are clearly defined and transparently priced.
Are there any hidden costs or additional fees?
No. All prices are fixed. There are no usage-based fees, no hidden charges and no negotiations.
Why is there a demo if prices are fixed?
The demo is not for price negotiation. It is meant to show the workflow, answer questions and ensure TattooMate fits your studio.
